Websites with Picture Galleries

Picture galleries can be used to great effect, but need to be updated every once in a while. Below are some examples of how current customers keep their gellaries updated with ease.

Websites with galleries are popular - they show off products, customers, views etc. But they are also a powerful search engine optimisation tool. By careful use they can be used to keep the website content fresh - and keepng not just customers but also the search engines interested and coming back. But these means updating the picture gallery - and there are several ways.

Let us do it - by far the easiest way! You take the photographs, we resize them, upload them and add some text to the gallery to describe the picture. This is how Spanish Catfishing maintain their gallery. A few times per year, during the main season, they drop us some pictures and we load them up.

Pass us a big batch of photos just as easy as the frst way, but done in all one go. For example, London Dog Walker passed us a load of photographs and they were prepared for the website. But a clever piece of code on the gallery page limits how many pictures are displayed, increasing the limit by 2 pictures each month. So every month 2 new pictures appear, but without the customer / ourselves having to load anything.

Rotate pictures is what another customer does, similar to the previous method. An example of this, Gesbur Studios passed us 12 postcards and through a simple piece of code on the card page, we select 1 card each month. After a year we start the rotation again, but customers and search engines are seeing the changes and staying interested.

Load them yourself is easier than it sounds. Gesbur Studios use this method as well on three pages. Glynn can load pictures to the 3 pages whenever he wants to and remove them as well.

Running a diary is a more involved way of loading pictures and also text. Finca La Mariposa use a diary feature to keep in touch with family and friends back home and load plenty of pictures to their diary. An alternative is a full blown blog, which we can also implment for you on your new site.

Loading products is of course the ultimate way of keeping the pictures updated on your site. We've got plenty of sites using our Website CMS to update their website. Have a look at Laptop Spares Shop or many of the other shops on our Webdesign portfolio.
