Pathagram is a word puzzle game published by Janric Ltd, Southport ("we", "us").
Your progress (coins, levels, daily streaks, achievements, statistics, bounty words and any round in progress) is saved on your device only. We never receive it. Deleting the app deletes it, and Settings → Reset all progress clears it at any time.
When you first play the Daily Special or a Blitz, the app joins you to the leaderboard so you can see where you came. To do that, it sends our server at janric.co.uk:
It sends nothing else: no email, no contacts, no location, no device identifiers. Your internet address is used only to stop abuse (too many requests at once) and is kept only as a scrambled, one-way code for a short time. Our web host, like every web host, also keeps routine server logs that include internet addresses.
Deleting your data: Settings → Leaderboard → Leave and delete my times removes your name, number and every result from our server straight away. Reset all progress does the same. Results are otherwise kept while the leaderboard runs.
We use this information only to run the leaderboard, which is in our legitimate interest and yours as a player.
Pathagram shows adverts from Google AdMob: a banner during play, and an optional video you can choose to watch for a free letter. We ask Google for non-personalised adverts only, so they are not chosen using a profile of you. Pathagram never asks iPhone users for permission to track them.
To show adverts, measure them and prevent fraud, Google's software in the app may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, your internet address (from which a rough location can be worked out), and how adverts are seen and tapped. Google is responsible for that information; see how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
In the UK and EU, Google's consent message asks for your choices the first time adverts are about to appear. You can change them at any time in Settings → Adverts → Privacy choices.
Our apps (in Settings) fetches a list of our games from janric.co.uk; it sends nothing about you. Ratings: now and then the app may ask Apple or Google to show their own "rate this app" message; any rating goes to them, not us.
Settings → Move to a new device can export your progress as a code. The code is created on your device, contains your game progress and leaderboard key, and goes only where you choose to paste it. We never see it.
Pathagram is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete information we hold about you; the quickest way to delete it is in the app, as above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
If we change what Pathagram collects, we will update this policy and the date above before that version is released.
