Janric | 7 SEO Quick Wins

Today I’m going to show you 7 quick SEO wins you can implement in under an hour.

If your site feels a bit flat in search, these are simple things I come back to regularly that still move the needle.

Optimise 3 old blog titles
Go back to older posts and tighten the titles. Make them clearer and more specific. If you wrote something like “Tips for Marketing”, change it to something more direct like “5 Simple Marketing Tips for Small Business Owners”. You’re aiming for clarity over cleverness.

Add 2 internal links near the top of your page
Don’t hide your links at the bottom. Add a couple of relevant internal links within the first few paragraphs. This helps both users and search engines find your important pages quicker.

Personal little known trick:  I often link to a key service page early on — it quietly improves rankings over time.

Compress images on your home page
Large images slow your site down. Run them through a compression tool and re-upload if needed. Faster pages tend to rank better and keep people on your site longer.

Update your Google Business Profile
If you haven’t touched it in a while, add a new photo, update your description, and check your contact details. It’s a quick trust signal and can improve local visibility.

Fix a broken link
Use a free checker and fix at least one broken link. It’s a small thing, but broken links make your site look neglected and can affect how it’s crawled.

Reply to 3 comments on your blog
Engagement matters. Replying to comments keeps your content active and shows your site is maintained.

Personal little known trick:  When replying, naturally include a related keyword or phrase — it adds a bit more context to the page.

Submit your sitemap to Google
If you haven’t already, or if you’ve added new content, submit your sitemap through Google Search Console. It helps Google find and index your pages faster.

If there’s one of these you should do now, it’s adding internal links near the top of your pages — it’s quick, and you’ll usually see the impact sooner than you expect.
